We visited Ataşehir Animal Shelter under the leadership of our teachers Özlem Biçici and Burçak Bektaş within the General Coordinatorship of Foreign Languages. We had the opportunity to get to know our friends more closely at the facility where abandoned animals or animals in need of care on the streets are cared for and we were informed about what we can do in this regard. This year, the Language School donated a total of 233 fruit saplings through ÇEKÜD in all activities to support farmers in earthquake-affected areas. These saplings cover an area equivalent to 6 acres, contributing to revitalizing agricultural activities in the region and rebuilding livelihoods for farmers. The students and staff of the Language School demonstrated significant solidarity, not only in the field of language education but also through their commitment to social responsibility.

Our Language School students organized a charity food bazaar to support farmers affected by the February 6 earthquakes. With the proceeds from the event, 128 fruit saplings were planted. This initiative not only provided financial support but also raised awareness about social solidarity and environmental consciousness. Our students’ meaningful effort serves as a beacon of hope and support for the farmers impacted by the earthquakes.

As Istanbul Medipol University Language School, we have donated approximately one thousand books on English reading, writing, listening, speaking, General English, and ESP to the Feza Gürsey Library of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.We would like to extend our thanks to those who contributed to this process, especially Vice Director of the Language School Murat Şahin, Lecturers Bülent Yaşar, Emre Can Şenel, Burcu Piri, Hatice Gizem Aydın, Cihad Furkan Eliaçık, Özlem Adhami, Mustafa Büyükbucaklı, M. Mustafa Kaya, Onur Başdinç, Zeliha Öztürk, Ayda Tandırcı, Cansu Çiprut, Ayşe Kılıç, Güngör Kırış Uğuzluoğlu, Umut Salih Özbay, Arzu Tuna, Gökçe Özgen, Taner Akbaş, İldeniz Keskinkaya, Serkan Yar, and the ISS staff for their support with transportation.

As Medipol University’s Department of Foreign Languages, we organized a charity bazaar to support LÖSEV, raising 9,000 TL in donations to bring hope and make a difference in the lives of children battling leukemia. LÖSEV focuses on supporting the treatment, education, and essential needs of children with leukemia and cancer, as well as their families. This event reminded us how much we can achieve when we come together. We sincerely thank all students and faculty members who contributed to this meaningful event. Together, we are making a positive impact for a brighter and healthier future!
