During my observation process with CPD, I actively engaged in self-reflection and applied feedback to enhance my teaching approach. I contributed by experimenting with different instructional strategies, incorporating student-centered activities, and refining my classroom management techniques. These contributions allowed me to create a more engaging and structured learning environment, improving student participation and comprehension. CPD provided valuable support throughout the process by offering constructive feedback, facilitating pre-observation discussions, and guiding me towards best practices in teaching. Their observations and recommendations helped me identify areas for improvement while reinforcing my strengths. The structured feedback sessions enabled me to implement targeted changes effectively. The most beneficial aspect of the observation process was receiving objective insights into my teaching methods. This experience enhanced my professional development by fostering a deeper understanding of pedagogical strategies and encouraging continuous growth. The opportunity to reflect, receive mentorship, and apply new techniques has been instrumental in refining my instructional approach and boosting my confidence as an educator.

I appreciated the opportunity to participate in a formative observation conducted by the CPD Unit. The observation covered various aspects of my instructional practice, including my teaching methods, classroom management, student engagement, and responsiveness to the diverse needs of my students. Before the observation, the CPD team provided crucial support with lesson planning, which enabled me to organize my classes more effectively and set clear learning objectives. During the post-observation meeting, I received detailed and beneficial feedback, especially on my time management and student engagement skills, which has positively impacted my classroom efficiency since then. Both the pre-observation and post-observation meetings were conducted with a high level of professionalism and proved to be immensely beneficial. I was particularly impressed by the detailed, well-structured feedback provided by the observer, whose insightful and specific comments have already informed my approach in the classroom. I was also deeply influenced by the observer’s critical yet supportive and professional approach, which further motivated me to implement the feedback in my classes. Overall, the experience was both encouraging and enriching, providing valuable techniques to enhance professionalism, student engagement, and classroom efficiency.

During my formative lesson observation, I aimed to deliver a lesson with a primary focus on vocabulary skills and a secondary focus on listening skills. My main contribution was encouraging students to engage in group discussions to increase participation, as I had planned a student-centered lesson. The feedback I received from my observer was both motivating and beneficial. Reflecting on the highlights of the lesson, it was tremendously inspiring to hear the kind words of a colleague. Equally practical and rewarding was the opportunity to discuss the lesson’s shortcomings. Thanks to this fruitful discussion with my observer, I refined my lesson planning process to ensure it reflects a more feasible and engaging approach. I can confidently share that both the pre-observation and post-observation meetings I held with the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) unit provided me with practical strategies to create an overall improved and elevated teaching experience. In short, I am grateful for this highly positive observation opportunity, which significantly promoted my professional growth and teaching skills.

I would like to start by expressing my gratitude for the level of professionalism that took place during the whole process of the Formative Lesson Observations. From the first informative email to the feedback session, everything was well organized and structured which made me feel appreciated as an educator as well as a colleague. Sufficient time was given to prepare before the Pre-Observation meeting. The Pre-Observation meeting was very beneficial for me. It made me notice details that I may have overlooked, and this contributed to my teaching in the long run. The well-structured and supportive feedback that I received in the Post Meeting gave me the motivation to keep enjoying teaching and learning. Everything that I was trying to achieve as a teacher in class was seen and supported as well as shaped to be better. For me the most beneficial aspect was open communication and meaningful standards that have been set for a better learning environment. For every feedback I have received, a meaningful and beneficial reason was presented which motivated me more to improve myself. I highly respect the CPD for their dedication to creating such an environment where educators feel supported, seen and uplifted through their guidance.
